Bestie is designed to be a calm harbor from the noise of the modern internet. Here are the eight standards we live by together.
Chat exists only between connected members. Connections form in exactly two ways: a mutual weekly match drop from the engine, or an accepted friend request.
Friend requests are not direct messages. They can carry only a short handwritten note without links, and they never allow free-form texting to strangers. If a request is declined, it is completely silent with zero hard feelings.
Bestie is strictly not a dating app. Unsolicited romantic advances, flirting, sexual comments, or treating the community as a dating pool will result in immediate removal.
Do not use AI generators, automated bots, or copy-pasted templates to write your profile, posts, or messages. People are here to connect with real humans, imperfect thoughts and all. Handwritten hits different.
Never pressure anyone to reveal photos, real names, or social links. Items shared from the Vault remain strictly confidential between you two. Doxxing or screenshotting shared vault items leads to an immediate permanent ban.
Harassment, slurs, hate speech, bullying, stalking, and predatory behavior are never tolerated. Moderators promptly review reported accounts and take swift action.
Bestie is a sanctuary for friendship, not a sales marketplace. Promoting commercial services, affiliate links, crypto schemes, or requesting money will result in immediate account termination.
Be authentic. Do not create duplicate accounts to manipulate the matching engine, evade blocks, or impersonate other members. Handles should reflect who you are.
To protect minors and ensure healthy adult friendship spaces, Bestie requires members to be at least 18 years old. Accounts registered by minors are closed immediately.
Not every connection turns into a lifelong bond, and that is okay. If a match does not click, drift apart gracefully or archive the chat. Treat every person with the gentle dignity you would expect yourself.
